Do you know of any home remedies that kills gnats or where do they come from?

Try a couple of small saucers of vinegar mixed w/ a little dish soap placed on your counter tops or around the area where the gnats are. They are attracted to the smell and will either fly in and drown or drink it and die. They are most attracted to rotting food sources or anything decaying. Empty household garbage regularly and avoid dirty dishes sitting in the sink or the like.
