  • Answer these and someone might be able to help: 1. What brand and model lawnmower? 2. What is the terrain like on your lawn? 3. Are you sure you used proper fuel for your lawnmower? 4. Did you assemble it yourself? Did it come assembled? 5. Does it make any sounds or do anything when you try to start it?
  • See if the spark plug wire came off or loose.
  • Do you recall mowing over anything hard/and or brick like?
  • You probably tried starting it repeatedly, even like the next day, but just in case you only tried restarting it shortly after stopping mowing... My first year or two of having my lawnmowe, I hated stopping mowing my lawn in the middle, since it wouldn't then start for a couple of hours. This was because I tried to restart it the same way I'd started it when the engine was cold, ie, move the little lever as far forward as possible. When the engine was still hot, if I just leave the lever in the middle position that you move it to shortly after starting mowing, it starts right up.

  • Did it come with oil already in it? If not you may have ruined it in just a few minutes.
