i usually just focus on visualizing exactly what i want to come out of the situation, and that gives me the drive to stick with it. if it's doing something, i just picture myself doing it over and over, and getting the outcome i want. if it's saying something, i'll run through what i want to say in my mind over and over, or even say it aloud if i can. things never seem as nerve racking after the third or fourth time around.
