I haven't seen any of the movies nor read any of the books. I'm not opposed to them I'm just not very interested in them. All my friends seem to like them, however.

No, I've not read any or watched the movies -- just not interested, and from what I've heard they promote an occultic (non-Christian) world view. There are plenty of other books to read and movies to watch, so the Harry Potter hype seems too strong. I'm sure the fad and hype will go away at some point, though it's lasted longer than Pokemon, another fad I wasn't interested in.

No, I'm quite certain that many people do not care about Harry Potter at all. However, I am a bit confused. I'm sure people that don't care about Harry Potter at all do not go around asking questions about it. They just don't care.

I think the first three books were great. Fun, innovative and charming. After that it got silly, and JKR seemed to be trying too hard to make the series go forward but lost appeal when she started killing off characters and making stupid plot devices. The Goblet of Fire premise is completely ludicrous. Then all the machinations to will Malfoy's and death eaters and Voldomort. We know Harry will survive until the summer showdown. How trite!
