Do vending machines around your area talk? In Japan many cigarette, soda, beer , hamburger, and train ticket vending machines thank you and let you know if you have change coming.

Nah not that yet... But Walmart and Lowes have "Self Check-out" machines that talk you through the scanning and payment process. Lotsa times it's faster than seeing a real cashier.

I haven't seen a vending machine with this feature but a filling station that I use thanks you for your visit in Spanish and then English as the assistant closes the till. I can never resist answering it in Spanish, then English, much to the amusement of the assistant - you'd think I'd never done it before.
