  • For me, it's always been straight Ginger-Ale. Anything alcoholic will increase acidity in your stomach, causing more pain.
  • Although it contains alcohol, I have always found 'bitters' and soda water to be helpful in calming my stomach.
  • FLAT coke. Leave a glass sit out for couple hours then drink it. Don't know why, but it works!
  • The best detox remedy is not some pharmacy or herb based miracle cure. The best cure for what ails you concerning alcohol is more of what made you ill in the first place, in the case of a hangover...alcohol...is your best cure. Remember, when you drink enough to get wasted, enough to cause a hangover, your body is not feeling the after effects of the alcohol, but is still under the influence of the alcohol. Taking in something as simple as a beer or mixed drink will level out the chemical imbalance causing the hangover. I know to some it may sound strange, but to those some, I suggest you at least try it. I have a fave recipe below, it's great for whenever you feel sick or hungover, and it's full of potent and beneficial vitamin C. Works best if you have a blender. "Lime in da Coconut" Rum (1 shot glass) 3 limes Cream of Coconut Orange or Grapefruit Juice Squeeze out the juice from three limes into the blender, take care not to drop in any seeds. Add about two to three ounces of OJ, and about three to four tablespoons of Cream of Coconut, and liquify all the ingrediants in a blender. Add one shot of rum, or two if you like it a bit stronger and set the blender on mix. Pour in a glass over ice and enjoy. It's a lot better than alka-seltzer, as asprin and ibuprophen can cause stomach ulcers and bleeding when mixed with alcohol...so abstain from them. You may have to adjust the recipe to your taste, less lime, more coconut...etc.
  • Mix a little semen into a glass of ketchup water (1 tablespoon of ketchup) and warm it up just a little (slightly above room temperature. Works wonders!
  • drink a litre of coke
  • Both Cola and Ginger Ale do wonders for my stomach when it's upset.
