Could you dig a grave by hand with a shovel and digging bar?
A hole 6 feet long ,3 feet wide , 6 feet deep? How long would it take you?

I have helped in digging the graves of several of the elders that have passed from my community. Usually 3 or 4 of us work together to get the job done. 5/17/26

★Stevo As theirs a lot of old cemetery's 3 or 4 men must of dug the graves by hand once upon a time ago my boys are weak as they cant dig a grave is it fair to say? big post and bollard was the actual reason for the hole . -
dalcocono We've been digging them by hand for a long time. I don't think there's ever been a backhoe in our cemetery.

dalcocono Yes indeed. Men dug wells too, much deeper than graves. Pit traps for dangerous beasts are deeper than graves. I left a similar reply yesterday, but it looks like it didn't get posted.
