When I worked in food service, we imported a lot of lamb from Australia. The Aussie "grass fed beef" was just starting out then. My family had a chicken ranch where we sold eggs and fryers. We had 160 acres. Our neighbor raised cattle on his 500 acres, and he leased our land for grazing for many years. Cattle ranching in my area has shrunk considerably over the years though. People are eating chicken or tofu these days. 4/5/25
