Why doesn't my browser show creamcrackered star or some of the other emicons?

it only effects my favorite pc its definately something to do with windows 7 not being up to date enough, Update Windows 7 KB2729094 got the star to show up as a blue outline I may change to a linux os that will make that problem go away. It works all right with firefox but firefox wont let me log into answerbag for some other reason .
