  • I like them as much as the Bond movies.

Really??? You thought they were as good as the 007's?
  • I don't remember seeing those. I DO remember seeing "Our Man Flint", which was clearly a U.S. attempt to duplicate the popularity of Bond movies for specifically the U.S. audience. It seems to me there were two Flint movies...

Our Man Flint and In Like Flint, are what you are talking about. There was also I Spy, Man from Uncle. The Saint, and Get Smart. One can wonder however if the last one was a serious attempt.

I wasn't counting the TV shows. LOVED Get Smart (especially the first season). The Saint was another Brit show. The Man from Uncle was too "middle of the road" with regard to humor. That is: they half tried to be serious and half tried to be funny. *** The BIG ONES that you missed: The Avengers (GREAT show) and Danger Man (probably the most realistic spy thriller series I've ever seen, VERY VERY good)

I neve got into Dangerman but I was an Avenger fan in a big way, until Diana Rigg was replaced. Bad move. Brian Clemmens was a super-dog around her. He'd made her wait on him and the other staff and he paid her lower than the camera man in the beginning.
