Frankly: I don't know. I don't know the qualities of most of the candidates, Dem or Rep. In fact: I only know of one, a Rep Senate candidate who (I read) was likely to lose his election because of some scandal (and I can't even remember what state that was for). I don't know if Mr. McConnell is right or wrong, and I wouldn't be surprised if he said that just to make it look like he knew the answer to the question, but certainly he knows more about these candidates than I do.
