Negative reference leads to job rejection. Is it illegal to give negative reference
I'm devastated. My ex supervisor gave negative reference to employer that was very interested in me.
The ex supervisor said I did sub par work and was often late and showed no interest of any kind.
I'm shocked because if that was true, why didn't he fire me? I was never fired.
And he said I can use him for reference.
The recruiter told me on phone that due to negative reference, job is denied.
I sent massage to the ex supervisor I'm going to sue him and he hasn't replied.
That job was only $8 an hour -- how do you show much motivation or interest for pocket change?

Why threaten to sue you have no money you cant sue anyone do you think its free to sue people? When us poor people try to sue the rich it doesn't work as they have better leagal representation, so you will lose and pay their leagal bill it also costs you money to file court documents as you are applying for an $8 an hour job forget about sueing anyone as you have no money. The manager will say to you "What did I say thats not true"? Get another reference that will say nice things about you. Next time you get someone to give you a reference get a friend to ring them and find out what they are going to say about you. don't let little things like cockheads you work with upset you.
