Residents of a Pennsylvania county were warned Saturday not to approach a monkey that was missing after a crash involving a pickup that was towing a trailer, taking about 100 of the animals to a lab..Crates holding live monkeys are scattered across the westbound lanes of state Route 54 at the junction with Interstate 80 near Danville, Pa., Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, after a pickup pulling a trailer carrying the monkeys was hit by a dump truck. I feel sorry for them, worried about them trying to survive in a Pennsylvania Winter. I expect that they are NOT accustomed to such weather, and if they are "in the wild", I expect that they will be the victims of either bobcats or freezing temperatures or starvation.

Did the dump truck have a sign that said "FREE THE MONKEYS"? As soon as I read this I thought of "Batty" from Ferngully. I, too am concerned about their ability to survive.
