Has anyone been on Cardizem and Metoprolol some say these interact then I would do better on the Cardizem alone ?

I only take metoprolol. I've never taken the other one. The metoprolol works well for me with no noticeable side effects.

  Wow! I had very noticeable side effects! I had to slow down a lot or I'd get out of breath and have no energy while trying to exercise. But it did work well for at least 10 years before it didn't anymore. Good luck!

  I've been taking it daily since my aortic valve replacement back in 09, with no noticeable side effects. The doctor told me it is designed to keep heartbeat slow and blood pressure low so as not to stress the valve. That might be why it bothered you. Who knows though. Everybody is different.

Don't guess when it comes to heart medication! Your doctor knows your health situation better than we do. They told me specifically (and even put it on my prescription label) that the sotolol was to REPLACE the metoprolol. If you have any questions about it call your doctor. You should be able to get a response within a day or two.
