The world might be more peaceful but people would still be disagreeing endlessly on many things. I think a one world would be a good idea though long as it would not be enforced.

Not if human-made. Humans are not en toto (that is: all of us) inclined to peace. Some are very inclined to greed and leaders are inclined to use war to satisfy their (quite frequently) extreme greed.
