  • Due to the advance technology and our ways of learning and communication, everybody wants to be right, even if they are as dumb as a box of rocks.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
In the real world not everyone is right since we all have our rights and wrongs. Not everyone has the same intelligence. I hear what you’re saying about technology and ways of learning but it seems to me that some people are unaware of how people function in the real world. Different brains different minds.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Oh, I know everyone is not right. You are not right and I'll prove it. If you could understand well, which appears not, you would know that modern technology has become a part of people's lives, causing everybody to think that being right is about winning, regardless if it's "different brains and different minds."
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I know I’m not right about everything. The same goes for everyone else. I understand that technology becomes part of some people’s lives. They can be addicted to their iPhones or iPads which is not good. People who are so involved with their gadgets are not in tune with the natural world. In reality nobody is right all the time including those who spend their lives with technology
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Quote: "I know I’m not right about everything." Exactly, you are certainly not right in this subject by failing to understand that Answerbag is a modern way to learn and communicate by means of technology. You are trying so hard to let me and others know how intelligent you are - when those who are the "majority" of people in the world are spending their lives with technology and forgetting about the "traditional," which is the real world. By this, everybody is stuck in their own world of correctness.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I understand that some websites are for learning. I think you are trying to insult my intelligence by saying I fail to understand. I know very well about how certain things in technology are for learning. I am not trying to let others know of my intelligence. There are different types of intelligences in every individual. The problem with some people is that they don’t admit when they are wrong about things. There is such a thing as being connected with the natural world and yet not to be too involved with technology. When people correct themselves they don’t admit their faults. They have to be told if they are doing something wrong
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Shadow, you are insulting your own intelligence for failing to understand that the modern way to learn and communicate is done by technology - as technology has heavily impacted almost every aspect of our lives, and education is no exception. If you want people to admit they are wrong, it is rare if you can get people to admit. Once again, everybody wants to be right as a way of winning.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
OrangeD, easy there or I will put you in the PB.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
Jenny Rizzo, I do not insult my own intelligence. That's a ridiculous thing to say. Why would I want to do that? There are rights and wrongs in everybody including you and I. Even those who think they are right all the time as they are only deluding themselves by being a Mr or Mrs Right. I understand very well that technology has an impact on people's nowadays which can have a negative or positive effect on the person.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
You are insulting your intelligence for being unconscious of the matter. Technology affects almost every aspect of the 21st century life, from transport efficiency and safety to socialization and productivity. Here on AB, I am right, you want to be right, but only one of us can be right. My answer stands, everybody wants to be right.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I am very conscious of the matter. People want to be right all the time but that’s not really the case because there is wrong in everyone as well as right but they can’t admit that.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
You are not being conscious of today's attitude of always wanting to be right. I know there is wrong in everybody, but if you try to correct everybody's wrongs, you will end up fighting the world by arguing with every individual who does not agree with you.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I’m not trying to argue. I’m just pointing out we all have our wrongs although there are people who delude themselves into believing they are right all the time. I don’t get involved with people in general but I do like to point things out verbally. If I see someone making a mistake I would kindly tell them what it is but without causing an argument. If they are doing right I would compliment them
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
You are not trying to argue? You are arguing with me about how you feel when people are wrong. It is rare as I have said to get people to admit their wrongs. Get used to people who always want to be right. Failure to do so will have you stuck in discussions. As someone else assumes in their answer, it could be an ego issue.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I am not used to people who are delusional. I don’t get involved with delusions such as people who think they are right all the time. That’s ridiculous. Unfortunately I am stuck in a conversation with you who doesn’t get what I am saying. The only way to get out of this conversation is if you get it out of your head that people are always right. It’s a delusion. I am not arguing. Just pointing out. That’s all. If you don’t know how to understand my point this conversation will keep going on since you fail to understand where I am coming from
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I know there is wrong in everybody - those are your words
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
There is wrong in everybody, since humans are imperfect. Most people just don't see their errors. That's why the love of many has grown cold.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
That’s true. Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes which we learn from. Well, some people do.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
It's only some people that will admit when they're wrong. Other than that when it comes to correcting the majority, it is a never-ending game.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
Basically like talking to a wall with the majority because they either won’t listen or not understand but that’s their loss. Those who admit they are wrong are more honest
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Being their loss, the best thing you can do is stand your ground.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
      True
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
      Ok.
  • Ego? Given enough time speaking to someone, you can always learn something. You are right, some people can be intelligence in the fact they can regurgitate information, while others think outside the box, some can have emotional intelligence, others common sense.
  • A person's intelligence is something they can't hide - it's just there for all to see. Trying to act like you have intelligence when you don't, does not help your own cause. Not to point anyone out in particular, but the quote "denial is no substitute for intelligence" sort of says it all. When you maintain an immutable narrative with no room to explore facts contrary to its tenant, you don't grow and neither does your knowledge of the truth.

"Trying to act like you have intelligence when you don't, does not help your own cause." Another POT MEET KETTLE moment, brought to you by the TINFOIL HAT Club.
    • Army Veteran
I was wondering how I could better express that line - thanks for volunteering, Don (hmm - did you ever notice that you share the same name with the man you violently hate? Doesn't that give you an upset stomach?).
  • Well, it might have something to do with their inability to write English correctly.
    • Army Veteran
You're correct for the most part - it's "cause and effect". It's a different case for immigrants who have difficulty understanding the English language, but for those born here and (ahem!) "educated" here, there's no excuse. They lack reading and comprehension skills because they lack the drive to better themselves. Again, there are exceptions, but generally speaking, it's case-in-point.
  • Well, in order for you to proclaim yourself more intelligent than they are you have to deal with the fact that they are ignorant. You'd think someone as smart as you would have figured that out by now!!
    • Linda Joy
I'm so tired of hearing someone's intelligence attacked just because they disagree with YOU! (and not just you personally but you everyone out there that does this.)
  • I wait for people to prove to me their level of intelligence. I have a masters degree, so I listen to what people have to say. I keep an open mind too, but if something is stupid, I'm out!!
    • Shadow Of The Mind
Intelligence does not necessarily require a masters degree or any type of qualification. Intelligence is about showing how our brain works in our own way.
