  • That would be, like here, dependent on the position I held in that society. For example, being a party member in China wouldn't be bad but being a peasant would. lol
  • Totally fine. We've had a beachfront home in Malaysia for years, love it there, and already spend a lot of time there - roughly half already. If the whore-buying Orange Emperor hadn't gotten his butt kicked and stayed for a second term, we'd have sold our place here and moved there. We'd have no problem living in Malaysia. It is considered "high" in the second world index by some, or the lower third of first world nations by others. Certainly below the US index in industrialization, but some cities there like KL are advanced/modern with increasingly more amazing architecture and living standards with time. It's terrific there, I'd have no problem living there and we will eventually pick up and go there permanently.

      So you would move to a part of one of those countries so long as you were living in a higher class of society, with living standards equalling yours currently?
