  • What I think is that you should probably pay close attention. Evidently, the site owners are not interested in your political opinions. They want this to be a very anodyne and uninteresting site.

Look at what the Trumpsters are able to get away with since the new warning. Its pretty obvious this is a right wing website. Why is it so hard to find a discussion website that is neutral? Do you have any suggestions? Reddit is too hard to understand and Quora is way too big.

I think the poster who asked who the employees of AB were and then got his question removed upset the apple cart when he attacked specific Conservative users. This is when the notice was first posted in a conspicuous spot before posting an answer.

It does appear that certain conservative users are being given a pass on their behavior and opinions. In general, though, this is a quite boring and poorly-designed site, regardless of its owners' political persuasions. I had some hopes for it, but there's a reason why it really hasn't attracted much interest, why the number of users is limited. It's just not a high-quality site.

"given a free pass"? Since when is the 1st amendment a "free pass"? Conservatives haven't been censored as much here as YA or other sites (or so it appears so far). Some of us have to strongly contain our responses to avoid being censored. This is no "free pass" - it's called being responsible.

The First Amendment protects you only from government censorship. Private companies and sites like this are not bound by it. Moreover, I've seen a number of conservatives not be penalized for the unpleasant things they've posted, including attacks on other members, while other people HAVE been penalized for considerably less. In other words, if the FA DID apply here, the site owners would be applying it quite inconsistently.

Victorine, yes that is obvious. How do you support those protesters overthrowing the election and call that a legitimate opinion?? Yet I see that from a certain poster (you know who he is) all the time. Its called Selective Moderation. BTW giving the conservatives a free pass is what destroyed yahoo answers. For you and me that means stay out of the Politics section.

BTW a certain poster above did get nailed for saying the Holocaust never happened, so that's good.lol

Was that the plan my lil leftards? Did you and your buddies go running to the mods and admins with torrents of crocodile tears a-fallin, great gobs of socialist snot a-swingin from your noses, your lips all quivering with dry-heaving sobs, as you prepared to launch into your best 'adult' imitation of a spoiled toddler tantrum? Did the mods and admin go into frenzied appeasement mode faster than the Frenchie collaborateurs did with your previous socialist versions is WW2? You commies, socialists and leftists have always been quite skilled at cowering the spineless....it's clear nothing has changed. It means a whole lot of nothing to me, and I'll tell you why. Unlike leftist dirtbags (or the cowards that grovel before you), I support Free Speech 110%, and oppose Censorship even more. So the minute I become aware that a site is against the former, and supports the latter, I immediately look for the 'FU button' to terminate membership in that site. The instant I got put into adult timeout on Reddit, my very first reaction was to send both the commie mod that did it, (along with the UberSnowflake Lil Stevie Huffman) my resignation that went "Take this site and shove it down from on high, or up from below, just make sure you shove it, as far as it will go." My second action was to click the 'FU button', before either dirtbag could, since few things scar a leftist for life worse than not getting the last word. Same for Saidit. When five of my comments 'disappeared', the 'FU button' was foremost on my mind. Unfortunately Answerbag doesn't have one, which means I'll have to wait for the banhammer. Oh bother! Until then, nothing will change. No my heartbroke leftists, there will be no self-censorship. No appeasement. I'll not be standing down while you dirtbags dogpile a conservative like you're accustomed to do on Reddit or Raddle; I'll continue to meet your disinformation with factual rebuttal, continue to poke your sacred cows with a sharp stick till they MOOOOOOO pitifully, and continue to pull your 1001 triggers to insure that your safe space remains a high traffic area. Nothing will change until the banhammer falls, and when that happens....it will mean a whole lot more to you commies, socialists and leftist-libtards than it does to me. So take whatever hollow victory that may buy you, and pretend it's cool beans. I'll simply withdraw back to ruqqus, voat, poal, and 8kun until you leftist scum find some way to sabotage them.....at which time I will still be on the Darknet, where you cowards fear to tread...and for good reason!

See a shrink, my dear, and find some sort of constructive hobby. Hysterical rants like this, presented as a tedious wall of text, do not argue for a healthy psyche, nor enough to do with your time.
  • These things have never been allowed. They're in the terms of service. I think whoever is putting people in the pb is tired of being overworked since YA closed. I've seen a lot of posts removed and people go to the pb. I think it would be a better place if people would disagree without personal attacks and insults. Mine included.

These general rules are standard on any Q&A site. But they aren't usually posted in such a conspicuous place. Doing so suggests that an issue of some sort was raised and they felt the need to make the policy more prominent.

1465, How about all the times you guys get away with "Libtard" or "libturd." I'd like to see a number of how many times that has posted and hasn't been taken down.
  • I think the notice was triggered by someone whose question upset the apple cart. I deduce this because the notice was first posted around the same time the question was removed. 😆
  • I think it's unnecessary. because when you start name calling, you lose your argument. most people stop reading these posts because it's just ugliness without a point. We are adults, we can censor ourselves. It's like a tv program you don't like, just turn the channel or turn it off.
    • Army Veteran
I agree that name-calling will lose an argument faster than anything. But posting the rules is still necessary because many Left-leaning individuals have no scruples and will resort to name-calling without hesitation if they think they can intimidate their opponent.

1465: You mean name calling like "Libturd" and "Libtard?" lol
  • It seems they powers that be on this site don't want rude insulting and inflammatory chat happening. They want it to remain civil, without name calling and insulting other users. I wonder why they have to remind us of this. We should all be aware of the rules.
  • We should only have to read it once.
