  • I thought bats had bad eyesight too because they use echolocation. they also have a very keen sense of smell so they can find their babies when they return to the caves from feeding all night. all this is from watching the animal shows. bats are cool BTW. I like flying foxes.

  • As I vaguely recall, that was yet another example of pseudoscience gibberish put out by so-called scientists long ago (1940s? 1950s?), that quickly became ingrained into the herd mind....as does most of their postulations. Similar to the even older gibberish that human beings use only 10 percent of their brain. They are quick as a cheetah at dispersing such hypothesizing, yet slow as a sea slug at retractions/corrections.
