After a fire, is it possible we could get a bed bug infestation?
We had a bed bug infestation last September that bled into October, waiting on the exterminator. He came and did the (heat) treatment, telling us he has a 99% success rate. Nine days later, no kidding .. our apartment, along with three others burned to complete rubble and ash. We now live in another apartment 10 miles away. I've had fears since and wonder if it's possible we can get bed bugs at the new place. We lost absolutely everything in the fire, except the clothes we were wearing. I no longer own anything I was wearing that day, my husband, just his shirt. I vacuum every other day, Is it possible we can get bed bugs at the new place?

I would think your okay but if any bed bugs went up into the vacuum that would be the only way there could be a small percentage that you could get them back but keep an eye out and I'm so sorry for your loss :(
