Well, it doesn't give me "joy," but it does make me feel more attractive, groomed, and polished. I don't wear a vast amount of it -- no contouring, for example, and no really "done" eyebrows (I spend a lot of time in Europe, where that sort of thing is regarded as just too much) -- but I'm an older woman now, and some make-up just makes me look better.
