  • As a newbie in Amazon FBA Program, I am preparing to source products from China. At the very beginning, I will research the trading platform like Aliexpress, Alibaba and Saleshoo. Then I will shortlist the potential suppliers and place test orders with small quantity. I will ask the suppliers to send the orders to my house so that I can check up the products’ quality. After the first evaluation, I will focus a few highly potential vendors. I will communicate with them to get more about their background information. It is very time consuming to make a factory visit especially the quarantine process. In order to ensure the suppliers are real but not scammers, I would hire a third party to make simple factory audits. Though it would cost some money, it would be much cheaper than visit the factories by yourself. Very often, you cannot do better than the professionals. I will definitely start with small orders and grow my business gradually. When I place a large quantity order, I would ask the third party inspection company to conduct a pre-shipment inspection. I have to make sure the defective rate of the cargo is within an acceptable limit so that I will not face the risk of excess product return and account suspension by Amazon. Actually, there are many quality inspection companies providing inspection services in China. Some of the fellow sellers recommend the HKQCC which has 25 years experience and the service fee is quite reasonable.
