How do firefighters rescue someone who fell through the ice in a fast flowing river
Hello,
Let's say someone ventures out onto a frozen river, steps onto a thin sheet of ice and goes under. Unlike a lake, where if you go down at point A, you come up at point A, the river has a current. So, if you go under at point "A" your body will make a parabolic shape and you will come up rights under the sheath of ice. Can FLIR (forward looking infrared) on police choppers be able to detect where you are under the ice sheath and where your body is moving? What would be the rescue strategy in this case?
Thanks!
