Can you recommend a good book?
I would like to read a book that challenges me to think, that centers around social conflict/justice, etc. The last one I read like that was The Almanac of the Dead. I want something similar to that or Gerald Vizenor's Bearheart: The Heirship Chronicles. Any suggestions?

I don't know the books you mentioned but you may want to look at the Divergent series. I just looked it up to get you a link and realized there are more than the first 3 I read. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divergent_(book_series)

No, I usually recommend trashy books. I like Stephen King. The Stand is pretty immersive, but also deals with social issues in a post-apocalyptic world. I also enjoyed the first few books of the Dark Tower series, but it did end up getting kind of silly in the later books.
