  • I would like to see them accept this cause it seems that Uber is better than taking a Taxi Cab to go places?

Are you saying taxi cabs accept medicare & medicaid? I can't afford either.
  • I don't know that much about it, but there would have to be red tape involved and added paperwork and then they only pay what they want and the rest falls on the company so they'd probably have to increase their rates, but then those taking advantage don't usually care that someone else has to make up the difference so I'd say its a bad idea. Do you not have busses where you live?

  • I think Medicare Advantage has some allowances for public transportation, but I believe it only covers mass transit for non-emergency transportation and ambulance for emergency transportation. I think Uber accepting health insurance might sound like a good idea on the surface, but, keep in mind that the people who drive for ride sharing corporations use their personal vehicles to do so. If people start utilizing Uber for medical quasi-emergencies, it'll just mean more icky bodily fluids being needed to be cleaned up by private individuals who are already putting up with a lot from rude people and thieves, and it might end up being the proverbial straw that fractures the already overloaded camel's back.
