• First, decide what sort of games you want to make: mobile, console, PC, etc. and what style: RPG, action, platform, puzzle, FPS, survival, etc. Then learn what sorts of development packages are available for that sort of style on that sort of platform and how much it costs. Then, budget to obtain it while developing your ideas as to how the mechanics will work and what sort of storyline (if any) you wish to include in the game. Then learn how to use the development tools to design the artwork and code the engine (unless you use an existing game engine). Then put it all together and debug it by testing for hours on each available platform you wish to allow accessibility. Then, advertise it, copyright it, and publish it. Simple.
