  • It's no secret that I wasn't a fan. I'd be less afraid of him in 2024 than I was of him in 2016, though. If Biden somehow manages to stay in office for four years and then runs again, it'd be pretty crazy to have the 2024 ballot be a carbon copy of the 2020 ballot. Basically two incumbents running against each other would be a really weird and not-so-good situation for our nation. But, if Biden will decide not to run again, Trump vs. Harris would likely be a Trump win, unless if Harris assumes office and then becomes somewhat popular (which I actually think is fairly likely) or if Biden gets very popular (which I think is highly unlikely). Or maybe Harris won't run, either, and then Trump will basically have every advantage at the polls. But, overall, I think Trump was a highly highly divisive president. The people who loved him won't be going anywhere and the people who hated him won't be going anywhere. Even if Trump doesn't run again, those people will still cause each other all sorts of problems, and that honestly has little to do with Trump or whomever runs for the GOP (Pence? Palin?!) - it's simply the fact that the American people have become politically allergic to one another. I don't know how to fix that other than to wait and hope.
