Yes, my cousin and her family contracted it early one, and since then we know a number of people who have had it, a couple of whom have died.

My mom goes to college at Rappahannock and worked as a librarian there. Her supervisor's husband was sick and had to get tested. Her and her son had it. My mom had to get tested and took forever to get the results back. She did not have it, 😅
