Most construction sites that run into trouble for reasons related to managerial factors rather than because of technical problems. Hence, site planning should begin by assessing a potential site for development through site analysis. Information about slope, soils, hydrology, vegetation, parcel ownership, orientation, etc. are assessed and mapped. By determining areas that are poor for development (such as floodplain or steep slopes) and better for development, the site surveyor or supervisor can assess optimal location and design a structure that works within this space. There are necessities that need to be kept safe and taken into consideration when developing a new development project. Within creating new development plans there are regulations that all buildings that have to be followed and are created by the city. There are regulations to help keep new development projects going out of control and keeping the city contained and not expanding at alarming rates that cannot be controlled. Therefore, the site-based management can make significant improvements in the cost and time savings during the construction process without involving a mass of additional work. Therefore, the objective of site layout plan is to control and maintain work performance and then taking actions to rectify situations where performance is unsatisfactory.
