Do you find it awkward not shaking hands? What do you do instead when you greet people?

I really can't believe this virus changed everyone. It wasn't nearly as bad as they said it would be, and I know we didn't know that going in, but do you think people will go back to shaking hands?

  You call them though, right? Many of my friends live in my apartment complex, so I still see them. And a few friends that transport me. I think I'm going to just nod and say nice to meet you or good day or something. That's better than a bow or salute or screaming "DON'T TOUCH ME!" haha

In the early hours of the shutdown, ran into someone I'm acquainted with. He put out his hand & as humorously as possible, I stepped back & said not gonna do it! Seriously, didn't really think there was a risk there. A few weeks later, he died! I may have saved my life just then.

  I heard Dana Carvey doing Bush senior when I read "not gonna do it" then I heard "wouldn't be prudent at this juncture" What did your friend die from? I'm sorry for your loss.

  Internet Acquaintance. Only spoke in person once before. Cause unknown, but I can guess.
