    Honesty for me. I've had people ask me what I think of their new [whatever] and if I don't like it I don't tell them its ugly, I tell them what matters is whether or not THEY like it. And that I'm the last person they should consult on fashion or hair or whatever it is. And when you live in chronic pain people don't really want to hear the honest answer to "How are you doing today?" My response is usually "I'm hanging in there. How are you?"
