  • Yes, and yes. Not really. It wouldn't do any good. I'm the only one who uses it. That's the worst thing about living single, I have no one else to blame for messes and mistakes!

Where I work, there is a community microwave (everyone pitched in $8 to purchase it, and the company kindly pays for the electricity). Since we started social distancing, my work station is now next to the microwave. A guy from another department came in and placed some sort of food in there, and walked away. A few minutes later, I could hear the food popping, and the person was nowhere to be found. When he eventually came back, I told him that I stopped it because his food sounded like it was exploding in there. He told me it was okay, because the cleaning guy would take care of the mess. I told him that the "cleaning guy" was whoever ended up being the next unfortunate person to try to use the microwave. He didn't seem to care.

Well if everyone pitches in a penny maybe you can buy a spatter guard as well. That guy probably still has his mother wipe his butt! I probably would have demanded he clean it up or at least pitched a fit loudly enough and insulted him enough to make him want to clean it just to shut me up! I probably would have called him a slob and asked him if his house looks like that too! And if he didn't I might have removed his tie to clean it with! But I guess you can tell longevity at a job is not my strong suit. haha. If he didn't choose to clean it I would have made him wish he had! Just a little chunk of hamburger meat smeared under his desk drawer wouldn't take long to start stinking like the slob he is! And he's not likely to look under the desk drawer!!
