A friend of mine ate a hard boiled ostrich egg. He said it was like trying to eat more than a dozen chicken eggs. Of course, chicken eggs come in all different sizes: small, medium, large, jumbo, extra jumbo, etc. But, say a chicken egg is about 60 grams, and, I believe the ostrich egg he got was 1200 grams or more, so that'd be 20 times larger. I believe ostrich eggs can also be much bigger than that, maybe 1550 grams, which would be about 26 times larger. So maybe, in round numbers, two dozen chicken eggs equal to one ostrich egg.

Yes. Also ostrich eggs can range between 3.5 and 5 lbs! -
