  • It's largely bogus and shitty publicity. Like gun manufacturers going into supplying kids body armour. The tobacco company isn't doing anything, rather it's a subsidiary biotech lab that is doing some of the testing is all. Thus it's not as impressive or meaningful as the headline sounds.
  • It doesn't matter who develops it as long as someone does.
