  • I remember watching a documentary called the Secrets of the bible, and it identified the ziggurat Etemenanki, as the tower of babel, it would have had a gate like Ishtar's gate at the top of it. There are archaeologists uncovering this type of thing. I watched another archaeological dig where they believed they had found, I can't remember if it was Sodom or Gomorrah, but they found the gate to the city as described in the bible and there was brimstone there. See if you can find them online.   • The Old Testament is the historical history of the Hebrews where as the New Testament is the salvation on mankind. The Old Testament is also the Laws of the Lord God. The New Testament brought us away from the Old Law and into the Law of Love. Each has its purpose.
