  • Not with viruses hiding out in the tissues of dozens of animals and in labs.

As long as rich old people insist on eating meat from oddball species slaughtered on top of each other in crowded, unsanitary wet markets, this outbreak will be the trend rather than an isolated event. On top of that, I think SARS-CoV-2 has enough worldwide spread now to last for decades or longer. It has already proven that it has the ability to mutate on the fly. The human population on Earth has neared the tipping point of an inevitable culling. If it's not idiots chucking nukes at each other, it's widespread terrorist attacks or infectious diseases. With such vast homeless populations in the big cities and so many governments unable to get a handle on water treatment and sanitation, it's a wonder the plague hasn't come back in full force.

Theories say warm summer temperatures will stop the virus outbreak in its tracks. But with over hundreds of different viruses, including this virus pandemic that’s quickly spreading around the world will follow the flu season and subside with spring’s arrival is unsatisfyingly uncertain. Many scientists say it’s too soon to know how the dangerous virus will behave in warmer weather, knowing hundreds of viruses exist in the coronavirus family.

Well, that might have appeared to have been the case early on, as the virus spread more quickly in the northern hemisphere at first, but now that it's everywhere and spreading out of control everywhere, it doesn't look like the weather is going to play a role in stopping the thing.

I don't believe the weather will be a factor. That's just what we have been told by the media, assuming it's to prevent more people from panicking.

The media has done a spectacular job at spreading misinformation about the disease. I've seen big news outlets saying some of the stupidest things. I guess fact checking is a thing of the past.

Fake news has always been a form of news consisting of deliberate disinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional news media. It is better to do your own research.
  • I doubt it. It's too far gone to turn around. We've passed the point of no return.
  • Although I believe this will leave a scar on the cultural psyche worldwide, I do believe that things will go back to pretty much normal in a couple of years.
  • Leo the Lopp says normal is whatever you are! Frankly, my life hasn't changed that much, other than the stores being depleted as if snow was on the way, and a call screening before my appointment at the VA tomorrow. I think its just a blip. Stores will restock, new procedures will be put in place, a vaccine will be ready soon and people are already growing antibodies. I think schools will basically be out till next year. Hopefully people will shift to curbside pickup and home delivery at stores. And restaurants will shift to take out and delivery. It was headed that way anyhow. I've long thought internet public school should be an option. Kids don't need the bad influence from the other kids at school anyway and teachers don't need to be used for babysitters. Now they can focus on actually teaching, instead of stopping them from wiping buggers on each other and throwing things! Parents are going to have the biggest adjustments!
  • It will once Jesus as king of God’s Kingdom puts and to Satan, and establishes peaceful conditions on the earth ,which was and still is God’s original purpose for the earth . Psalms 37,9-11 9 For evil men will be done away with,+ But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.+ 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more;+ You will look at where they were, And they will not be there.+ 11 But the meek will possess the earth,+ And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.+ Verse29 The righteous will possess the earth,+ And they will live forever on it.+ The time for this to happen is fast approaching as shown by Jesus in Matthew 24:3-14 3 While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives,+ the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence+ and of the conclusion of the system of things?”+ 4 In answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads you,+ 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.+ 6 You are going to hear of wars and reports of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is not yet.+ 7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom,+ and there will be food shortages+ and earthquakes in one place after another.+ 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress. 9 “Then people will hand you over to tribulation+ and will kill you,+ and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.+ 10 Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and mislead many;+ 12 and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold.+ 13 But the one who has endured to the end will be saved.+ 14 And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations,+ and then the end will come. Satan time is fast running out . 7 And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el*+ and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail,* nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon+ was hurled, the original serpent,+ the one called Devil+ and Satan,+ who is misleading the entire inhabited earth;+ he was hurled down to the earth,+ and his angels were hurled down with him. 12 On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea,+ because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing that he has a short period of time.”+
  • It depends on how you define "normal." I think that the economy is going to take a long time to recover and will undoubtedly be used as fodder in the upcoming elections. Hopefully it will awaken most people out of their self-imposed slumber on world events and how being dependent on other countries isn't in our best interest.

The economic damage this thing is creating worldwide is much more difficult to predict than the death toll. Suffice it to say that it has already dealt a serious blow to the world's economy. As for how politics enter into this, I'm rather happy that hasn't been as much of a topic so far, but, as June or July comes and the virus runs out of new people to infect, everyone is going to be playing the blame game.
    • Archie Bunker
I agree on the economic damage, but I see the blame game already building. But also like you said, come July, and closer to the election, it will start running amok.
    • Linda Joy
I agree the blame game has been ongoing since the election. If they'd worked as hard at getting work done they might have actually accomplished something by now! I can see how it would be difficult to do anything but defend yourself when everyone is attacking you!
  • Likely yes. I feel that there will be a time where man has felt confidant that he has solved many of their problems independent from God, even thinking they have accomplished a measure of world peace. Then things will really change. (1 Thessalonians 5:3) Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape.
