Too adult, too macabre, and too expensive.

They have always been that way, at least in relation to the times. I remember seeing a lot of bloody, violent, or otherwise "inappropriate" costumes on children when I was a kid. Let the children use their imaginations. If they are otherwise stable, then there is no issue. Cutesy is great too if that is what one chooses, but as long as it's not disallowed at school or something slutty for a child ( like a street hooker costume, etc), not a big deal for me personally. It's halloween, not a church ceremony.

Haven't looked at them this year yet. In years past I didn't think a couple were appropriate for children. I love Halloween and have attended several grown up parties. Made my own costumes every time:)
