  • Annual checkups are a waste of time and effort. You should be looking after yourself better all round, so to avoid having to give yourself over to medical shamans every year. You'll die when you die regardless of how many medics and gym trainers you see.

My mom died of cancer that started in her breast, and your suggestion is to skip my mammograms? Congratulations! That has to be the single worst piece of advice I've ever been given! lol

Annual checkups are not a waste of time. I feel the same about taking care of yourself and avoiding the corrupt medical profession. But the fact is, you don't know everything that is going on inside you - some issues don't give symptoms. I go in once a year and get checked - if they find anything wrong, I try to fix it myself. I'm usually successful. I've fixed cholesterol and kidney failure on my own. I have no more symptoms of emphysema and I was declared diabetes-free (I've since noticed a rise in blood sugar, but I can fix that easily enough).
