How do universities work?
I'm writing a story that takes place in a university, and for it to be realistic, I neew to know more about universities.
I'm only a high school student and I have no clue how universities work. bUT we learn new things every day, and today I need to learn how uni works.
I've heard some things about credits, courses, projects, but I don't know anything for sure and I don't kno how these things connect.
I have a few questions:
How long is a lecture?
How many lectures can a student have a day?
How many courses can a student take?
How do credits work and what do you need them for?
How do exams work in uni?
Can you take different courses from different departments? (for example course from the department of philosophy and a course from the department of sociology)
How do assignments work?
