How about next week? I'll bring the meatballs, or would y'all rather have Italian sausage?
    • Anoname
      Meatballs.
  • It's spaghetti.
    • Anoname
      OK , I'll change the e to an a.
    • Bootsiebaby
Thank you, Anoname. It's nice to see that some people have the good manners to accept being corrected. If you were on the old AB you might remember some of the ignorant louts we had to deal with. Your comment is a refreshing change from all that. :)
    • Anoname
I was here on the old AB, and I remember a lot of members who'd put down others.
    • Bootsiebaby
Why did they do that, Anoname? Didn't they have anything useful to post?
    • Anoname
      Small thinkers?
  • And I already had salad with tortilla chips instead of croutons, and ice water.
    • Anoname
      chips and dips.
  • Well it's Thursday now, and I'm having spaghetti. Actually I'll be using macaroni noodles, a very tomato-ey sauce, hamburger and onion...with Texas Toast (& iced tea).
    • Anoname
      Sounds good.
    • Linda Joy
It does sound good Sweet or unsweetened tea?
    • Mr PantsFellDown
I'm not sure where the term "sweet tea" originated. I actually think it's an invention of McDonalds Corporation. who - as part of their shift towards an ebonic-speaking market - coined the term, along with the phrase "I'm lovin it", and referring to themselves as "Micky D's".. Really, I never heard it called that before white culture became passe. It's always been "Iced Tea" to me. But yes, I like sugar in it. And Iced Tea is actually my favorite choice of a dinner beverage. (except if I'm having a burger, then that calls for root beer)(well I'm not a barbarian!)
    • Linda Joy
Sweet tea is a southern thing honey!
  • I missed the boat ... so I'm doing it on Thursday instead.
    • Anoname
I missed the boat once - nearly drowned. (kidding, obviously) I'm actually an expert swimmer.
    • Ice man
      I'm an expert spaghetti eater. : )
    • Mr PantsFellDown
Do you cut your spaghetti? or suck the long strings of pasta into your mouth like an Italian? ((I cut mine, first one way, then the other...and it turns it into clumps that fit on a fork. ...But a fried had me over for dinner once, and his "Momma" (Mia) was horrified at this behavior, and assured me it wouldnt taste ok if I didnt attempt to swirl it onto my fork and go "SCHwwooooooo" with each awkward chin-messing bite. *blink*
    • Anoname
I've eaten it both ways described. I once ate some when my bosses took me out to eat and got laughed at by them because I didn't hold the fork against a spoon while I twirled the strands up. Spaghetti etiquette is tricky.
  • Don't forget it's time for spaghetti Tuesday on Wednesday! I'll bring the meatballs!
    • Anoname
      I've got the sauce.
    • Linda Joy
      Good to hear from you!
    • Anoname
      Ditto.
    • Linda Joy
      (Smiling)
