Apprentice vs a Degree?
I am currently 16 and I would rather apprentice than go to college. I was and still am a 4.0 student in high school. I was the 9th grade president, and currently the 10th grade president. I play football, and run track. I am in my schools leadership class, and I also contributed some community hours for my school. I even have the number 1 spot in my graduation class and I have a UCLA article based on me. I only said all this to make sure no one thinks i'm a slacker of any way, shape, or form. So to get into it, I have a huge passion for history and I am currently and happily self taught in history. I have my own history book collection of 27 books. I have 2 journals, and 1 is about a general history and lost artifacts. The second has yet to be worked on. I own a vintage world map, and a historical figure picture collection. I stream on twitch and receive very nice comments such as "you know more than me and I studied this stuff in college." My own world history teacher even told me that I know more than her and she has been teaching for decades before my birth. I'm terribly sorry if I sound self absorbed but I wanted to give you guys a good summary of me for details sake. For a career/job I want to either be a historian, archivist, or even an archaeologist. But for some reason I don't think college is for me. I feel more comfortable being self taught and having hands on archive/archaeology teachings.
