  • Sorry I don't see any need for a long answer. No employee's rights are violated. Nor that of his former employers because he developed it himself for his own use. Unless he has signed an agreement that anything he developed remains with that company.
  • I would say that since he used the facilities of the company to develop the program and presumably on their time, the program belongs to the company.
