  • I do not see that option available.
  • Are trolls people that insight a reaction? It would be nice if Answerbag had a report button. But generally, I would post your issue here. I've notice they respond or react in a day or two.
    • Bootsiebaby
Insight a reaction? What does that mean? A troll is somebody who posts deliberately offensive material for the sole purpose of causing offense to others. I have noticed tonight that the troll in question has changed his user name and avatar, but he can't hide from me. I looked at his profile and I can still see his older name there. How he got to be top of this week's leaders is a total mystery.
  • I've been wondering the same thing myself. I don't think we can for the time being. Let me know if you find out something.

      Will do.....

      Will do.....
  • I don't know if that is a possibility on any site. And it is very much in the eye of the beholder. I might be annoyed by people running their numbers might find it good fun or even significant. After all with a good amount of freedom there will always be a certain number of people who will abuse it, who will use to just show how uncaring or off the wall they are, or to amuse their friends , or to act out their unhappiness, or play games. Who is to say that is not valid? Whatever they do has to be in accordance with the regulations of the site but even within them I'm sure there is a certain amount of room for all kinds of "trolling" to get through. Let's face it - there are people like that we have to deal with everyday in life so why should a Q and A site be any different?
    • Bootsiebaby
Very much in the eye of the beholder? The troll I refer to is the most outrageously offensive person currently using this site. I have seen him posting all sorts of lies about other people, casting aspersions on their sexuality and even on their marital fidelity. That behaviour is so seriously frowned on in Manchester that the perpetrators usually meet with dire consequences when they are caught. How can you say it is very much in the eye of the beholder? You might be thick-skinned enough to take such trolling with a grain of salt, but nobody I know personally is.
    • Bootsiebaby
      Oh, and by the way, it violates the following clause from the site's terms of use. I copied it last night and saved it on a document so that I could quote it on threads like this. Here it is: PROHIBITED CONTENT You must not post to the Service any Content that, as reasonably determined by Answerbag, is or appears to be the following: 5. untrue, misleading, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive to another person's privacy or protected data, hateful, or racially or otherwise objectionable;
    • we are dough
I will bare it in mind.....
    • Bootsiebaby
The word is "bear", not "bare". Go back to primary school and resit your spelling test. My son got full marks in his when he was seven. See if you can equal him this year.
    • officegirl
I know who you are referring to and I agree with you about him. But as I have advised you elsewhere I think it only encourages him and those like him to get all upset about it.
    • Bootsiebaby
It looks like he's left now anyway, officegirl. Either somebody reported him (possibly by knowing the admin's email) or else he realised what a mean-spirited thing it was to pick on an innocent girl just because she is my friend. Either way, victory is now mine. :)
    • we are dough 68
    • simonjhollands
      Very dystopian.....
  • I just ignore them. All they want is to gain attention.
    • Bootsiebaby
If they want attention, why don't they just tell me how much they like my boots? If they say that I'll be happy to carry on interacting with them and that should give them all the attention they could possibly want and at the same time it would not be offensive to anybody. Why don't they think of something simple like that?
  • First, call Scotland Yard.. Then contact your member of parliament to voice your complaint & tell them to get MI6 involved. I believe the troll in question is one of your's, and it just changed it's name. ; )
    • Ice man
Of course none of the above will do any good .... but it might make you feel better. : )
    • Bootsiebaby
I have seen the name change and checked the profile, Ice man. I know who it is.
    • we are dough
Give us a Clue. I am all ears......
    • Bootsiebaby
You already know it is you we are talking about.
    • simonjhollands
      Yeah,give us a clue......
  • Contact the Russian embassy in Qatar....
    • simonjhollands
      Tell them Simon sent you....
  • 1-10-2017 You don't really need to report them. Everybody notices.
    • Bootsiebaby
Simply noticing them is not enough. Some of us want something positive doing about it.
    • we are dough
      Good for you.....
    • Jewels Vern
I am totally unaware of any troll, but I am painfully aware of Bootsiebal whining repeatedly about how offended she is. The fact is nobody can offend you unless you ACCEPT IT. I don't accept any offense, so there is none. But I do get tired of having to look over posts from people who are butthurt by every little thing.
  • Try here: support@answerbag.com
    • Bootsiebaby
That doesn't work, iwnit, there is no such link.
    • iwnit
@Bootsiebaby: thank you for your feedback. It is not a link, it is an email address. I just clarified it in my answer.
    • Bootsiebaby
Oh, I see. I will try it. How did you get hold of it, iwnit? I thought you weren't a Community Leader any more. The rest of us haven't been able to find a way to contact the admin on this new AB.
    • iwnit
@Bootsiebaby: I am not a CL for this new site and I think the Staff is doing all the work. I learned from this relaunch 4 days ago, as I got an answer notification sent from that support account. They also used that address to send me a password reset link. However, maybe that address is only used to send automatic mails and no real person is reading the incoming mails. I did not yet have any human feedback over that address either.
  • As I'm sure you probably know we have a yellow flag now for the purpose of reporting.
  • like someone said theres a flag there
  • just click on the flag
  • The only way you can report is hit the flag button and choose a reason. Unfortunately it doesnt allow for a personal comment.
  • I assume that the yellow flag symbol can be used to report offensive posts which include questions, answers and comments.(which i rarely use) I do not respond to these type of posts because if you do they gain traction on the post listing. Let them fade into irrelevance.
  • You don't. They crave attention and want the engagement. Simply engage and get to the bottom of their neurotic behaviour. If they you cannot handle it, then troll engagement is not for you.
