  • My generation grew up shaving our armpits and legs and facial hair if we had any but nothing else so that is what we became used to. Men shaved if at all their facial hair. OK I remember some guys on swim teams shaving their body hair before competitions I think. The impetus to shave pubic and crotch hair came from porn later which many of us never watched anyway and which we never regarded as trend-setting. Apparently enough men desired to so infantilize us that it somehow caught on with subsequent generations of women but I have seldom been with men of any age who so shaved themselves.

Thanks. I thought I was going to surprise my gf and she was less than impressed. Lesson learned I am now back to my natural self. I see that she was not alone - and your point about infantilizing men is well taken. Very insightful.
    • officegirl
No I meant infantilizing us! I think the only reason women started doing it was that men liked it. I wonder if their ultimate then is pre-pubescent girls.
    • dorat
Hard to say, but I don't think so. It is cultural, of course, but hair to me seems rugged and masculine and I want the women I am with to be soft. I get enough "rugged" in the real world. Maybe some men do like to see women shaved because they like the idea of pre-pubescent girls, but I tend to doubt it. In this case, to borrow from Freud, I think a cigar is really just a cigar.
    • officegirl
Weird. That you would think we are somehow "rugged" there. Honestly have you ever been with a women au naturel? You are old enough to have been. If you had I don't see how you could think our hair is anything but soft.
    • dorat
You misunderstood me - or me you. I was speaking of hair on men. On a woman, I am quite conventional. I do not find hair under the arms or on the legs to be attractive. Although it feels different, it is NOT feminine. Hence why I think it masculine. Pubic hair, to me, is sexy.
  • On the bonus dorat I just love the idea of men being natural men and I have been fortunate enough to be with several of them a few in a relationship or on a regular basis.
    • dorat
Thanks for your comment. A few of the women I was with were less generous. (One had never seen an uncut penis before!) My gf likes the fact that I am uncut - but I was almost expecting that to be the exception and not the rule.
    • officegirl
I think the world would be a happier place for all if more men went uncut.
    • dorat
Ha! Thanks. I know at least a few women who would be happier - and the fact that I am uncut pleased particular a whole lot. A big win for me - and really, I had no say in the matter at the time. I should thank my parents some time.
  • I like men unshaved down there. Like your girlfriend, I've been with a guy who shaved his pubic hair and I didn't like it. I felt like it made him look like a boy. I'm all for a man grooming and shaving other areas if he wants, but I much prefer to see pubic hair on a man. As for your bonus question: I like a penis either way. I haven't been with many uncut guys. I was very surprised the first time I saw one uncut in person as I was getting sexual with a guy. I have to say that it did turn me on though. I had been with many men at this point, so him being uncut was part of the excitement to me. My husband is cut, but I would have gladly married an uncut man.

Thanks. True story. I dated one girl who had never seen an uncut guy. The first time we got naked, as she took my underwear off she yelped, and said, "Oh my god I am so sorry I hurt you!" I looked at her perplexed and asked what she was talking about. She said, "Look at your dick I am so sorry!" I explained that I was uncircumcised and busted out laughing. She was embarrassed - and it kind of blew the mood, but it was funny. Anyhow, you sound a lot like my gf, she likes hair and uncut. You have good taste, as I am sure your husband agrees.
    • ladyEmma
Thank you. I'm sure my husband would agree too. Your girlfriend and I do sound like we have a lot in common in regard to our sexual likes and preferences. I think uncut men are very sexy. And my husband was interested in my experiences with uncut men. That is a funny story. Hopefully she wasn't too embarrassed.
    • officegirl
Emma did we ever talk about this on the former site? I know I posted about it. With uncircumcised men that extra layer of skin kind of "clings" to us as they move which is very exciting. I will swear it does.
  • I'm not one for hair. I take the time to shave my pussy and legs so you should shave too. My hubby shaves his chest, arm pits, balls and cock and bonus he is uncut!!! Let me tell you it's super sexy. I love the feeling of smooth, freshly shaved and lotion skin. It's like silk, to me its a real turn on. Some girls complain that they look like a ten year old, but how many ten year olds have a 8 inch dick?
    • dorat
Well, I'm probably not 8 inches - I never checked. (Aside to gf: "Honey, what do you think?") By the way, I hear your argument for tit-for-tat shaving, but that I can't do. My gf hated the one time I did it - though I didn't shave my armpits - so she wins. Besides, she told me that she thinks my hairy chest is sexy. I've been warned. I am uncut, though. Hairy, but uncut. Does that count? Cheers!

Does you son ever get to see your shaved, hairless pussy, Niki?
    • Beach_Niki
Yes all the time! In the summer we barely wear clothes and skinny dip in our pool. And yes he does appreciate it?!!!
  • My wife like me trimmed, but not shaved.
  • I like girls and men the same, Some hair but we'll trimmed so not like an out of control forest but more like a nice garden.
