  • 12-16-2016 You don't explain what you are talking about. It might depend on what country the building is in. In Mexico they are quite reluctant to tear down a building that is still sturdy. In USA people will tear down a building just because they didn't erect it.

      It should be the other way round, Bill. Out with the new, in with the old. Who wants to look at buildings built in 2000 when we can still look at buildings built in 1900 or earlier?
  • Because the people who demolish them are heartless, insensitive clots who don't give a sh*t if the world ends in the next year.
  • The owners can't make enough money with them so they tear them down and build new ones to get a higher sale or rental price.
  • People today are greedy and care less about preserving an important part of history.
