I held the door and told her she was welcome. I'm not sure how she took my sarcasm .

I would probably not get a thank you, but a bad look instead by holding the door for her, what I like to do to all kind of people. In this case I would call out with a voice almost everyone can hear "You are very welcome" - when she is almost out of the door.
