  • - Cut the exhaust pipe - Never maintain it - Spend $10,000 on a stereo Contrary to the rappers saying's, louder isn't better. I use my stock stereo and it works just fine. No expensive upgrades. No wasted money. Save your money for something more useful - put it in an ING account! :) Remember - even if you do think it's cool right now, you'll soon grow out of that stage and realize how much money you almost wasted...
  • Break the flex couplings in your front pipe. Been driving like that for almost two weeks, had a couple of conversations with friendly badge-wearing public servants, ruined my wife's hearing, and gotten MANY w00ts, whistles, and cheers from the ricer gang, all without paying hundreds of dollars for dual 5-inch chrome tips. Now, if you WANT attention for loud exhaust, remember that some of your "fans" will have blue lights on their roof ;) Oh, and it robs you of both HP and and MPG. I am down to about half on both counts. Still sound cool? You open up those fart cans and get passed with a rusted hoopty because you either messed up your engine or had to chat with Mr. Officer? Mad propz dawg!
  • IF ITS TOO LOUD YOUR TOO OLD!!! THE LOUDER THE BETTER WHO WANTS QUIET EXHAUST STRAIGHT PIPE THAT SON PUT SOME TIPS ON IT A RUN THE CRAP OUT OF IT!
  • Remove the muffler or dual out the exhaust system.
  • Run it into stuff and don't get it fixed.
  • The tidy way to do it is with a "cutout". You could get them from mailorder accesory catalogs years ago. A cutout is a wye-fitting that you install somewhere before the muffler. It has a cable operated flap valve that diverts the exhaust to a straight sidepipe. They used to be illegal in most states, certainly in states with mandatory inspection. Dont break the law. The nice thing was you could close them by means of a choke cable fitting mounted in the floor when you wanted to be quiet. Believe me, you want this ability for passing donut shops! :-)
  • Put on your Emergency Break and drive for several miles at 60 mph.
  • Just jack up the car and cut the exhaust pipe of then through some huge bass speakers into the car and go.
  • buy and install a turbo kit (turbo kit should include a manifold (weird tangly piping), the turbo (spiral shaped), and some other stuff. the turbo kit is suppost to give more air pressure into the engine which creates more power after installing, install an exaust system with a muffler larger than your stock one. its one of the sources of sound. (i preferably get a cat-back exsaust system) also install a cold air intake. its also good for adding power as it puts denser air into the fuel and air mixture. those are the basic noise makers. if you want to go farther read on. a blow-off valve can be installed to create that "woosh" noise that you hear when those modified cars change gears. it prevents turbo lag when the throttle is closed.
  • Don't forget the big Japanese stickers. They make the car more aerodynamic, louder and faster too. They even improve your breath and make your hair shinier and your teeth whiter. You can even cut out a couple of Folgers cans and weld them to the stock exhaust pipes. They resonate AND smell good too.
