At least in the United States, under arm hair in females is often not acceptable. I suppose if it's stubble that just is growing back that may be different, but most men that I know would be fully turned off by someone who's got as much hair underarm as they do.
-
If I was a man I would be totally turned OFF of a woman if I saw she had underarm hair. To me it is a sign of not being clean and unhealthy.
-
Yeah I feel as if men think it's almost like a beard. or a mustasch. haha I dunno. But in the U.S. it's looked down apon.
-
I'm not a man, but I'd say this is a definite deal breaker! It just doesn't seem...feminine.
-
they didn't stand a chance with her anyway... her boyfriend grizzly adams back at the log cabin doesn't want to share his girlfriend under any circumstances
-
I don't know maybe if you focused on something else you can overlook something like that But I agree it is kind of a turn off to see a female with big bushy underarms
-
(lol) Is this in the US or Europe? Most European women don't shave. I am a Yank, but I have traveled some. It is not a turn-off to me, provided all basic hygiene is practiced. Hair is not "dirt". I have never been put off by women's body hair (wherever it is).
-
it depends...
-
Doesn't bother me any, but I spent some time in Europe, so maybe I'm used to it.
-
For a lot of people, sadly yes. People can be very shallow.
-
Not a deal breaker, but mitigates the possibilities...
-
Hey Brook- Deal maker!
-
Absolutely not. If she was reaching up on a shelf I would be looking at other things besides her armpits:) I would ask her why she doesn't shave there and perhaps suggest a little shaving thing back at the house. Could lead to some intimate shaving for her and maybe a lot more:)
-
doesn't bother me at all.
-
For me - it's a big time deal braker. No negotiations.
-
Oh, sorry. Didn't answer your question. Well, I suppose my really favorite is dark haired women. Why? Maybe because my most favorite women are those in my family, and they are dark haired. Sound reasonable? But we are Scots and Irish, and the dark hair is jet black, accompanied with blue or grey eyes and ivory skin. Hmmm...Don't get me started! lol! Allow me my few prejudices. It comes naturally. >>> And this was supposed to be in Comments. Excuse me. It has been a long week.
-
HELL YES!
-
Ew. Yes. I'm female, but bisexual. I wish the hair that I shave off would just take a hint and quit growing back.
-
Yes. Haven't you heard the stereotype about French women? Though if they had a valid reason and they smelt alright around that vicinity I don't think I have the right to say anything about it.
-
For a lot of guys, .. yes.
-
I am female (and straight) and seeing other females with underarm hair even turns me off. Its goes with personal hygiene. Women shouldn't have hairy arm pits. No man wants to wake up with that right next to his face. It also makes one think if she can't look after her arm pits than how bad are other parts of her.........
-
It's very European. In the states, there exists a cultural bias against body hair on women. Nothing inherently wrong with it, just a cultural more.
-
as far as personal preference goes... i don't really find it attractive, but to be honest i don't like a lot of hair on guys either. (i'm a girl.) i'm just not a "hair person" in general usually. as for me, i wouldn't want to have unshaven armpits either. all that being said, i don't think there's anything wrong with it either. as long as you practice good hygeine, armpit hair is not dirty or nasty. it's just a part of the body. so if i saw a pretty girl with a hairy armpit, it wouldn't disgust me and i probably wouldn't care too much.
-
Yes, it is the same as kissing a girl with a moustache or a beard, that’s just so wrong
-
As long as they wash the underarm hair reguley then i dont have a problem with it
-
Not in Europe.
-
I think that if this person was interesting enough to me I would just ignore it. So not a deal breaker, but definitely a hurdle, and I wouldn't request it.
-
depends where in the world you are,to me yes its a deal breaker.
-
It is for me. I find it disgusting.
-
In America I think it is. Not in the rest of the world.
-
Yes, it's a deal breaker. Where does this myth that it's acceptable in Europe come from?
-
...no, but had she turned around, and revealed "crouch bulge" bigger than MINE--then yeah, I'd say it was a "real deal breaker!!!!"
-
I rock hairy pits and nobody stares or says anything to me about it. I've even gotten appreciation from a few guys, but I suspect that majority of people find it gross. There are somethings on men that I thought would be deal breakers for me (like goatees) but I've inevitably found guys who break my rules.

I have to be groomed!!
