I would at least sample their cuisine.
-
I always eat the food from the countries I visit. Why go to India etc to eat Macdonalds
-
I would eat their food. It is always interesting to try foreign cuisine. You might even like it.
-
I might try a little something but I like it better if I know exactly what I'm eating.
-
I would certainly sample the cuisine, but I'm very particular about meat and I can't cross the realm into grasshoppers and spiders. But general ethnic fare? You bet. Some of my favortie dishes include cuisine from other countries.
-
Eat what they are eating there, as long as vegetarian.
-
I'm a pretty adventurous eater. I'd probably check out what was on the native menu. Except for curry...I hate curry. I don't know what precisely about it disgusts me so, but I've never been able to handle it and I can't see myself trying anything new if it was loaded down with it. Just about anything else though, I'm totally up for it!
-
Local food in general, apart from the UK where i think the best food is to be found in the indian restaurants, in San Francisco where the Asian restaurants are magnificent or when I'm too hungry or short of money and find a McDonalds:)
-
I always eat the local food-I've lived in about 10 countries and I always eat what the locals eat (within reason)Britain was the funniest place I have lived-all the locals eat foreign food, but they think it is native to the UK! (Curry, Chinese, pizza....)
-
I'll try anything once.
-
I would probably at least TRY the native food, but I know that in places like Greece, Italy, and Germany, I would eat the native food all day long.
-
Due to my extreme pickiness, I'd eat my own food.
-
I wouldn't eat a native, but I would eat the native cuisine. ;-)
-
I enjoy trying new foods. 8 years ago, I'd have probably stuck to my own food.
-
I think I would talk to the native and eat the food.
-
I don't think I'd care for the taste of native, I'd just eat their food. ;)
-
I always eat whatever's in front of me, as long as it just lies there without complaining. I keep an emergency tin of tuna, just in case.
-
I eat local food. It is less expensive and part of the whole experience.
-
I wouldn't eat the native, I'm vegetarian. :P
-
Always try to sample the native cuisine, unless I am there a lonnnng time. Then I may need a hamburger and french fries, to feel at home.
-
VERY adventurous. I have a "try everything twice" mentality. And I don't want to know WHAT is in what I'm eating until I decide I like it. Then you can tell me it's seaweed-stuffed ostrich stomach or whatever.
-
I always eat local food i like to give everything a try,on the other hand my husband is a pie and chips man so sticks to what he knows he likes.
-
While I haven't been to a lot of other countries, I'm always game to sample the local foods. I think my most adventurous trip was to Italy. "Italian" food in the states is rarely "authentic." And where I live in St. Louis is close to "The Hill" neighborhood...a large Italian neighborhood. More authentic than a lot of than the big chains, but still not quite like actually being in Italy.
-
I try to always eat local, but I am not too adventurous.
-
Very adventurous, eating the local food is part of the travel experience. I have been in some situations were it would have been rude not to have eaten the local food that was served. If you try it and don’t like it then you have learned something, if you don’t try it then you have learned nothing.
-
I love to try the local foods but I wanna know what I am eating first. 95% of the time, I won't turn something down because of the ingredients, but if I don't like it then I will politely refuse the rest.
-
I've only been outside the USA twice and I did try unfamiliar foods with mixed results. I would be more willing now to try different cuisines.
-
I love to eat local food. One problem is, however, that some of my Balinese friends, who have been to Australia, use my presence as a great opportunity to impress me on how they learned to cook Aussie food! LOL
-
I lived for few months in Olympia, WA (I'm from Venezuela), and I used to hang out with a bunch of asian guys (Korea, Japan and Taiwan), so I ate a lot of different asian food ...
-
i don't have to go to other countries to find food from other countries sometimes, because many of my friends are first generation americans. one of the few truly good things about growing up here.
-
I never eat off street vendors, but I do like to try things. When in San Juan I got pretty sick of chicken and rice or goat and rice. When I get home, I'm always ready for a hamburger and home made spagetti.
-
When you go to foreign countries you should eat local food,After all burger and chips could be foreign to them
-
Unless your rich(I'm not) the chance to visit new countries is rare so try all I can when I am there.
-
Yes, I am willing to sample them and get some ideas about the local food but not all the time.
-
I would eat both as long as they were cruelty free / blood free vegetarian dishes. I love ethnic foods!
-
I eat the local food. What is the point in going to another country and eating McDonalds
-
Always go native, even if you burn out a new bunghole!
-
I guess I could try to eat the native. I just hope his family doesn't come looking for me :)
-
I would stick with my own kind.
-
When in Rome... I tend to eat locally where possible. I also ike to visit a local supermarket to get the idea of the kinds of foods normally eaten in that country
-
I would never eat the people of that country ... lol but I do eat the food. I have been to any different countries and have eaten their cultural food. I love sushi ... yummy yummy. You have to be adventurous. You only live once and the food won't kill you ... it may give you some runs in your pants ... but that will pass.
-
Depends on if they ate bugs or not.
-
Eat the native food any day, I did when I went to Peru, Guinea Pig!!
-
If it's not bugs and certain seafood, monkey, or the like, and I think it smells good, I'd try the native FOOD. However, I'm not a cannibal... I will NOT "eat the native". (Well, that kinda depends on my marital status and ... Never mind. ;-) )
