how do you define scorching? i grew up in the hottest portion of the mohave desert. it'd get between 120-130 degrees F in the summer. if that fits your description, then i'll take that.
-
I would rather have the scorching desert :)
-
ARTIC. YEAH. I'd carve an ice palace out of it and live as the King of Antartica.
-
I would rather live in the arctic, because I could make myself warm. Where in the desert it would be harder with out many resources.
-
desert. i don't like it super hot, but my body doesn't handle the cold well, at all. you can only put on so many layers before you can't move your limbs!!!
-
Arctic, because if your in the heat you can strip to cool down but once you reach your bithday suit, thats it , you can cool off anymore. but in the arctic you can put on as many layers as you want to get all warm and cozy!!!
-
Scorching desert please. At least my nights will be cool.
-
Neither. make it Jamaica. no problem!

I'd much rather live in the Arctic. We've traveled there and love the area. Love the seasons. We lived where it was mostly 105°-118° all summer and the sun beating on us for months, dry scorching heat. As I got older, the heat and sun just sapped all my energy. The days were so hot it was hard to do anything outdoors. I'd rather put on layers and layers of clothes and be able to go outdoors in the winter than be stuck under air conditioning for months and months.

I think I would survive longer in the arctic..I can make some kind of fire to keep me warm. I can drink the water off the melting ice/snow. Whereas in a dessert its really hot and there is no water. well maybe a cactus may keep you alive a little longer but the spikes render it impossible to open with your bare hands. So artic it is.
-
ooops ! sorry I got lost.
-
It's easier to get warm than stay cool. So the arctic!
-
I hate the heat, so this ones a no-brainer. You can always bundle up to stay warm. My GF complains that there's penguins roaming freely in my room, because I have an A/C that's 2x too big for the sq. footage;)
-
I have been in both, I find it easier to live in -50°C than in +50°C and would therefore prefer the Arctic. I also speak the language of the Inuit people, and that can help when you are in the Arctic, but is useless in a hot desert.

I agree about the jelly being called jam...but saying there is no jell-O! is ridiculous. For some reason this posted as an answer! Flag in as non-sense please.
-
i prefer the heat to the cold but if it is humid in either conditions that would just suck. i don´t like hot and humid nor cold and humid.... dry heat is easy for me deal with, i just don´t move very much at all and drink a lot of water.
-
I would have to say the desert because I hate the cold, just as long as I have lots of water.
-
The artic
-
After the summer we've had, the arctic is looking pretty good.
-
The Arctic without a doubt! You can always put on more clothes to war up.
-
The Arctic... you can always ice fish too.
-
I live in Phoenix, I am already in the scorching desert. The arctic might not be a bad change of scenery.
-
THE DESERT!!- you can have a pool and AC...plus there is no humidity
-
Well I lived in a scorching desert and I think I am in the arctic here most days LOL . Scorching desert I think
